Rise Above Read Aloud Program
Burds of a Feather Publishing’s Rise Above Read Aloud Program is an innovative reading enrichment program that promotes reading and literacy among students. Students will have monthly in-person read aloud sessions, participate in literacy boosting activities and be able to meet and greet authors.
Dedicated to fostering a love of reading and learning about the culture and history of the city we all love, our program makes reading fun and rewarding while also supplying educational books written by local authors to classrooms/and or grade levels.
Our end of the year project is to help students become authors by releasing a grade level publication students have been working on collaboratively in their ELA and art classes.
Each student will also receive a iPad as a gift in an effort to help continue to promote reading, writing and illustrating.
